Frequently asked questions
How do I extract pages from a PDF?
Choose “Extract selected pages”, click the pages you want in the preview and press the button. They are saved together in a new PDF.
How do I split a PDF into separate pages?
Choose “Every page as a separate PDF”. Each page becomes its own file and you download them all in one ZIP.
What format should I use for page ranges?
Use commas between items and a dash for ranges, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. Each item becomes its own PDF.
Is my PDF uploaded when I split it?
No. Splitting happens in your browser. The file is never sent anywhere.
Why can’t I open my file?
Password-protected and damaged PDFs cannot be read. Remove the password first, or try re-saving the file from the original app.
Split a PDF without uploading it
Sometimes you only need a few pages out of a long document. This free split PDF tool lets you extract pages from a PDF, cut a file into separate pages, or break it into several parts using your own ranges. You can click thumbnails to choose pages visually or type ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-10, and the tool tells you straight away if something does not look right.
Everything is done in your browser, so the file you choose never leaves your device. That makes it a good fit for statements, contracts and scans that you would rather not hand over to an unknown server. There is no sign-up and no watermark. When a split produces more than one file, they are bundled into a single ZIP so you only download once. Typical uses include sending one chapter of a report, separating signed pages from a contract, or saving a single invoice out of a monthly bundle. Need to put pages back together later?
