Common uses

  • A logo or shop sign

Type the business name and compare Kufi, Ruqaa and display fonts before sending a brief to a designer.

  • A website or app

Test headings and paragraphs in several sans-serif and Naskh families, then copy the CSS of the winner.

  • Social posts and invitations

Download a transparent PNG of a phrase in a decorative font and place it on a photo or a card.

  • Presentations and documents

Find a readable Arabic font for slides, and a matching one for titles, before you install it.

Tips and limits

  • Preview with the exact words you will use. Connected letters and tall strokes differ a lot between fonts.
  • Each font uses the closest weight it has. Several-weight families such as Cairo and Tajawal give you a regular and a bold for text and headings.
  • Emoji and some symbols are not part of Arabic fonts and fall back to your device’s font.
  • The text is limited to 200 characters because each font downloads only the glyphs you typed.

Choosing an Arabic font from a specimen sheet is guesswork, because your name, your shop or your headline never looks like the sample. Type your own text here and every font shows it at once: Kufi, Naskh, Ruqaa, Nastaliq, sans-serif, display and handwritten styles. Change the size, weight, colors and alignment, flip to a dark preview, filter by style, and search by Latin or Arabic name. Save the fonts you like to your favorites and compare them side by side.

Every family in the list is on Google Fonts and was checked to contain real Arabic letters. Each card copies ready-to-paste CSS, opens the font’s Google Fonts page and links to its license, and can download your text as a PNG at 1x, 2x or 4x for a logo draft or a post. Only the letters you type are downloaded, so previews stay light. For a longer list by style and use, read our guide to the best free Arabic fonts, then put your favorite on a photo with Add Text to Image or choose matching colors.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the fonts come from?

All 55 families are from Google Fonts, checked to include Arabic letters. Almost all use the SIL Open Font License, and each card links to the exact license.

Can I use these fonts commercially?

In almost all cases yes, since they are open-source fonts. Read the license linked on a font’s card for the exact terms before you ship it.

How do I use a font on my website?

Press Copy CSS on the card and paste the link tags into your page head and the font-family line into your stylesheet.

Can I get my text as an image?

Yes. Choose 1x, 2x or 4x and press Download image. You can make the background transparent for use on photos and in designs.

Does this tool upload my text?

The text stays in your browser. Your device asks Google Fonts only for the letters you typed, in order to draw each preview.

Why does a font look different in my design app?

Apps may substitute a similar font or use another version. Install the exact family from Google Fonts, or use the downloaded image.
