Frequently asked questions
Is the result really random and fair?
Yes. The winner is chosen first with your device’s secure random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), without bias, and the animation is then arranged to land on that entry. Every entry has the same chance.
How many entries can I add?
Up to 500. Labels are shortened when they are long, and on very large wheels the names are hidden but the winner is still shown below.
Does it work with Arabic names?
Yes. Arabic letters join correctly and the direction is handled automatically, so names in Arabic, English or both look right on the wheel.
Can I share my wheel?
Yes. “Copy link” puts your list inside the link’s hash part, which browsers never send to any server. Very long lists make very long links, so you will get a warning.
Is my list saved?
The last list is saved in your browser on this device so it is there next time. It is never uploaded.
Can I use it in class or on a stream?
Yes. Fullscreen mode shows a large wheel, and you can remove each winner so nobody is picked twice.
A wheel of names for every occasion
A spinning wheel is a fun and visible way to choose between options: which student answers next, who goes first in a game, what to cook tonight or who wins a prize. Paste your list, press Spin, and watch the wheel slow down and stop on a winner with sound and a little confetti.
Fairness matters, so the winner is picked before the animation starts, using the secure random generator built into your browser. The wheel is then turned to land on that entry, which means the spin is theatre on top of a genuinely unbiased choice. Arabic and English labels are drawn correctly, long names are shortened, and you can remove winners to keep going until everyone has had a turn. Share the wheel through a link that carries the list in its hash, use fullscreen for a classroom or live stream, and keep your names private, because nothing is sent anywhere.
