Frequently asked questions

Can the tool fetch comments from Instagram, X or TikTok?

No. We cannot read comments from social platforms automatically, and we do not ask for your login. Copy the comments yourself and paste them in.

Is the draw fair?

Yes. Winners are chosen with your browser’s secure random generator without bias. The same person never wins twice.

What does “one entry per person” do?

It keeps a single entry for each person, identified by the first @username on a line (or the whole line if there is none), so people who commented many times have one chance.

What are backup winners?

They are extra names drawn after the winners, in order, in case a winner cannot be reached or is not eligible.

Are the names stored anywhere?

No. The list stays in this browser tab and is gone when you close it.

Can I generate random numbers instead?

Yes. Use the “Random number” tab to pick numbers in a range, with or without repeats.

Run a fair giveaway draw in a minute

Giveaways are a popular way to thank followers, but choosing the winner by hand invites doubt. This picker draws winners from your list with a secure random generator, so the result is fair and easy to explain. Paste the comments you copied from your post, and the tool cleans them: it trims blank lines, removes duplicates, can extract only the @usernames, and can keep one entry per person.

Choose how many winners and backups you need and press the button. A short reveal shows each name, and the final list can be copied or saved as an image with the date, time and number of entries, which you can post as proof. There is also a random number generator for raffles and lotteries with unique or repeated numbers. Remember that the tool cannot collect comments from social media for you, and that it never uploads your list: everything stays on your device.
