Online screen recorder
Record your screen, a window or a tab, with system sound and your microphone. Free, no watermark, and the video never leaves your device.
Your recording never leaves your device
The video is made and kept in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded.
Troubleshooting
- If nothing happens when you press Start, check that the browser did not block the screen-sharing prompt in the address bar.
- Sharing a single browser tab gives the best audio. Sharing the entire screen on macOS may not include sound.
- On macOS, allow your browser under System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording, then restart the browser.
- Very long recordings use a lot of memory. Record in parts if you need more than about 20 minutes.
- The downloaded WebM file plays in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, VLC and most modern players. Use a converter if an app only accepts MP4.

Frequently asked questions
Is my recording uploaded?
No. The video is created and stored in your browser’s memory and is only saved when you click Download.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Phone browsers do not let websites record the screen. On iPhone use the built-in Screen Recording in Control Centre; most Android phones have one in quick settings. On a computer, use Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
Which format do I get?
It depends on your browser: MP4 where supported (Safari and recent Chrome), otherwise WebM. The page shows which one will be used before you start.
Can I record sound?
Yes. Tab audio is available when you share a tab in Chrome or Edge and tick “Share tab audio”, and you can add your microphone. Both are mixed into one track.
Is there a time limit or watermark?
No watermark and no fixed limit, but the recording is kept in memory, so very long recordings are better split into parts.
Record your screen without installing anything
Sometimes you need to show instead of explain: a bug for support, a lesson for students, a tutorial for a friend or a game moment you want to keep. Modern browsers can record the screen themselves, so you do not need a program or an account. Choose a whole screen, a single window or one tab, and press Start. A short countdown gives you time to switch over.
You can include the sound of a tab or the computer and your own voice, which are mixed into one audio track. Pause and resume while recording, see the elapsed time, and stop whenever you like, or simply stop sharing from the browser. Afterwards you can watch the result, check its size and download it in the best format your browser supports, MP4 or WebM. There is no watermark, and the video stays on your device the whole time. This feature needs a desktop browser.
