Changelog

This is the running record of what we add, improve and fix, newest first, so you can see that the site is looked after and what changed since your last visit. It is written from the project history. If something here affects you, write to us; if you want to know how changes are checked, read how we test.

  • NewAdded three design tools for names: Arabic name design (your name in more than fifty free Arabic fonts, with colors, backgrounds, tatweel stretching and PNG export), a signature maker (typed or drawn, transparent PNG, and a hand-off to Sign PDF) and fancy text (decorated Arabic and English text to copy for bios). Two new guides explain Arabic calligraphy styles and how to design a signature.

  • ImprovedMerged near-identical pages into their main tools: the ten timer-length pages, three of the compress-to-size pages, four of the format-converter pages and the two resize pages are now presets of the main tool (for example /timer/?m=5), and the old addresses redirect permanently.
  • ImprovedRewrote the pages for compressing to 100 KB and 200 KB, PNG to JPG and WebP to JPG with sizes we measured ourselves, a results table and a before/after example. The spin wheel page now explains how the pick works, and the Sign PDF page explains visual versus certified signatures.
  • NewAdded this changelog, a “How we test” page, a fuller About page, “Last updated” dates on tool pages, and an author, dates and a real screenshot on every guide.
  • ImprovedThe build now fails when a page has too little text, two pages are near-duplicates, or a page repeats the same FAQ answer, and it checks that every internal link points at a real page.
  • FixedThe privacy policy now mentions the one-time download of the background-remover’s AI model, which was missing.

  • NewClassroom tools: random groups, a classroom board, a noise meter and flashcards, plus printable worksheets for multiplication, maths practice, Arabic letters and English letters, and three classroom guides.

  • NewTimer: exam and classroom mode (huge full-screen digits, an optional title, amber and red warnings and an optional chime) and several named timers running side by side.

  • NewA wheel-of-names page and four ready-made wheels: what to eat, yes or no, numbers, and truth or dare.
  • FixedOpening a tool from another page now starts at the top of the page instead of keeping the old scroll position.

  • NewDesign tools (Arabic fonts, colour palette, gradient generator, colour converter, image colour picker, favicon generator) and developer tools (JSON formatter, Base64, URL encode, UUID, hash generator, diff checker, JWT decoder).
  • NewCategory pages for each group of tools, sixteen step-by-step guides, ready-made sizes for resizing, compress-to-a-size and format-converter pages, and the option to install the site as an app that also works offline.

  • NewA Contact page with our email address. Internal links now point straight at their final addresses, and a check after every build catches any that do not.

  • NewSign PDF, Word to PDF and HEIC to JPG, and the everyday and device tools: timer, stopwatch, Pomodoro, spin wheel, giveaway picker, typing test, screen recorder, microphone test and webcam test.
  • ImprovedA guided flow for every tool (clear steps, a sticky action bar, undo messages and passing files from one tool to the next), a new menu and search on the home page.

  • NewImage tools: compress, crop, remove background and add text to an image.

  • NewLaunch with the PDF tools (merge, split, JPG to PDF, PDF to JPG, organize pages) in Arabic and English with a right-to-left layout, plus the privacy policy and terms.
