What should we eat today? Spin the wheel

A wheel of familiar meals is ready. Spin it, or swap in your own dishes, and stop arguing about dinner.

Your list never leaves your device

The names you type are used only in this browser tab.

0 of 500 entries

The winner is chosen first with your device’s secure random generator, then the wheel is animated to land on it. Every entry has the same chance.

Tips and limits

  • Keep the list to meals you can actually cook or order tonight, so the result is never a disappointment.
  • Planning the week? Spin, press “Remove winner”, and repeat until you have seven dinners.
  • Add a “leftovers” slice: it is a perfectly fair outcome.

What to Eat Wheel

“What are we eating tonight?” is probably the most repeated question in any household, and the answer is rarely quick. Everyone says “anything”, then rejects every suggestion. This wheel takes the argument out of it. It starts with twelve familiar meals, from kabsa and mandi to jareesh, margoog, shawarma and a simple pasta, so you can spin straight away and accept the result with a smile.

Make it yours by editing the list on the left: delete dishes you had yesterday, add what is in the fridge, or keep it short with three options only. Because the winner is chosen by your device’s secure random generator, no dish is favoured. After a spin you can remove the winner, which is handy for planning a whole week of dinners. The wheel is the same one as the main spin wheel, so you can also use it with names. For a quick answer to anything else, try the yes or no wheel, the number wheel or the truth or dare wheel.

Step-by-step guides

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals on the wheel fixed?

No. They are only a starting point. Edit the list to add, remove or rename dishes, and the wheel updates at once. Your last list is kept in your browser.

Is the choice really random?

Yes. The winner is picked first with your device’s secure random generator, and the animation lands on it, so every dish has the same chance.

Can I use it for restaurants or cuisines?

Of course. Replace the dishes with places, cuisines or even delivery options. The wheel accepts up to 500 entries.

Can I share my family’s wheel?

Yes. “Copy link” stores your list inside the link, so anyone who opens it sees the same wheel.

How do I enter names in the wheel?

Type one name per line in the box next to the wheel, or paste a ready-made list from a file or chat. Each line becomes a slice at once, and names in Arabic, English, numbers or any other words all work.

Is the wheel of names really random?

Yes. The winner is chosen first with your device’s secure random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), without bias, and the animation is then arranged to land on that entry. Every entry has the same chance.

How many entries can I add?

Up to 500. Labels are shortened when they are long, and on very large wheels the names are hidden but the winner is still shown below.
